1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CertiVAT's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing our services.

2. Service Description

CertiVAT provides VAT validation and compliance services, including but not limited to:

Real-time VAT number validation
Bulk VAT verification services
VAT compliance monitoring
Automated VAT reporting tools
Integration APIs for business systems

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information
Maintain and promptly update your account information
Maintain the security of your password and account
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Subscription and Payment

4.1 Billing: Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis and are non-refundable except as required by law.

4.2 Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

4.3 Price Changes: We reserve the right to modify prices with 30 days' notice. Continued use after price changes constitutes acceptance.

4.4 Taxes: You are responsible for all applicable taxes related to your use of our services.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

Use our services for any unlawful purpose or fraudulent activity
Violate any applicable laws or regulations
Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the service
Use automated systems or software to extract data (scraping)
Resell or redistribute our services without authorization
Submit false or misleading VAT information

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of CertiVAT are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our services without written permission.

7. Data Accuracy and Liability

7.1 Validation Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, VAT validation results are provided "as is" based on available government databases.

7.2 User Responsibility: You remain responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable VAT regulations.

7.3 Limitation of Liability: CertiVAT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from service use.

8. API Usage

8.1 Rate Limits: API usage is subject to rate limits as specified in your subscription plan.

8.2 Fair Use: Excessive API calls may result in temporary or permanent suspension.

8.3 Integration: You are responsible for properly integrating our API into your systems.

9. Service Level Agreement

We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible. Service credits may be available for extended outages as per our SLA policy.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. Upon termination, your access to the service will cease immediately. We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold CertiVAT harmless from any claims, losses, liability, damages, and/or costs arising from your use of the service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your Jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of [Your Jurisdiction].

13. Changes to Terms
